Implants Vs. Dentures

Dental implants can be used to secure a denture in place for a more stable and confident smile. Dental implant-secured dentures can help improve your oral health and the aesthetics of your natural smile. Many local AACD dentists offer implant secured dentures for their list of added cosmetic benefits.

Dental implant secured dentures help patients feel more confident in their beautiful smile.

Dental implant-secured dentures look and feel like natural teeth. AACD dentists use high-quality dental materials to create prosthetic teeth that look beautiful and fit securely.

DENTURES VS. IMPLANT DENTURES

Dentures can be bulky, awkward, and often slip while you are eating or speaking. Patients may feel too self-conscious of their denture to smile or laugh freely. Dentures do not provide stability ot the jawbone or prevent gradual facial regression.

For qualifying patients, dental implant supported dentures provided better oral health and a more naturally beautiful smile than traditional dentures. Your AACD dentist can determine if you are a good candidate for dental implants. Implants require substantial healthy bone tissue for a successful result. If patients do not have enough healthy bone tissue, there are other procedures that may be used to build bone tissue or optimize existing tissue, helping more patients receive the benefits of dental implants.

Implants are surgically implanted into the bone tissue and integrate with the jaw over the course of about 3 – 6 months.  Implants help to regenerate bone tissue preventing facial regression or sagging. Dental implants support the facial structure to help patients maintain a more youthful appearance.
